Cjoli privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026. Cjoli is an open source project run by Yossef Haim (yossef68e@gmail.com).

What stays on your device

The extension works on your device: your mockups ("recipes"), your settings and, if you use an AI engine, your API key are stored in your browser (chrome.storage.local). Page content and screenshots are sent only to the AI provider you choose, only when you ask Cjoli to redesign a page. We never receive them. Password fields, F9, ad blocking and the Hebrew date work locally and send nothing.

The gallery (optional, off by default)

If you switch the gallery on, the extension asks this server which mockups exist for the page you open. This request contains the site name and the page path, and nothing that identifies you (no account is needed to look).

If you sign in with Google

To publish, rate or install mockups you sign in with Google. We receive from Google: your account identifier, e-mail address and name. We store:

We do not sell or share this data, we use no advertising or analytics, and we do not read your pages.

What a published mockup contains

Only appearance rules (CSS and a few hide / move rules) for a page address. It never contains your page content, your cookies or your personal data. Mockups are public.

Your choices

Switch the gallery off at any time in the Cjoli settings. To delete your account, your mockups and your ratings, write to yossef68e@gmail.com; we delete them. You can also revoke Cjoli's access in your Google account settings.

Where the data is

On a server operated by the owner (Hetzner, Germany). The code of the server is public so anyone can check what it does.
